Juliet Kirby’s Biography
Juliet Kirby grew up in England and studied fine art in London.
She immigrated to the United States in 1958 and after creating four children returned to art in 1989 at the New York Botanical Garden. She graduated with a Certificate in Botanical Art.
In 1996 Juliet moved to Williamsburg, VA. and started teaching botanical art at This Century Art Gallery in Williamsburg and at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, VA.
Juliet participates in many group art and botanical art shows both in Virginia and in Washington, D.C. Her work is in many private collections in the U.S. and England.
In 2013 she exhibited her paintings at the Weekend Gallery of This Century Art Gallery and in August at the juried show “Botanica” at Brookside Gardens in Washington D.C.
In 2014 Juliet will show work in the Staunton Augusta Art Center in Staunton, VA. and at the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C. In September she will have a showing at the Crossroads Gallery in Richmond, VA.
Juliet is a member of the ASBA, BASNCR and the BAEE who are creating a book of native plant illustrations including two works painted by her.
